"I am in constant pain. I would prefer to be buried alive than continue to receive the treatment I receive. At least I would suffer less and die."

STOP DEPORTATION TO TORTURE
Tony Blair has recently stated his plans to illegally deport terror suspects to countries where they will be tortured. Whilst we all utterly denounce the terrorist actions of the bombers in London, Blair’s current plan is dangerous and illegal. Many people who have nothing to do with terrorism stand to be sent to certain torture and abuse on the basis of suspicion alone. As we have seen, the suspicion needed can amount to nothing more than looking foreign and wearing a coat.

Write To Those Facing Deportation
Amongst the ten arrested in dawn raids last week were at least eight men who were previously held in Belmarsh or Woodhill and subsequently released on control orders. The men have been deliberately placed at distant locations, beyond the reach of their solicitors and their families. At least five of the men are currently on suicide watch and all have suffered from depression as the result of their detention. Some are single and have no families in the UK, and have received less than a handful of visitors or calls in the past 3-4 years that they have been incarcerated.
Write to these men urgently. Remind them that we have not forgotten them nor we will abandon them; remind them that the Muslims and non-Muslims in Britain will fight all attempts to deport them to countries known for appalling human rights abuses.
