As-salam alaikum,
I read 'Lord of the Flies' by William Golding recently and just finished 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell. Both excellent books, which examine human behaviour in the absence of laws, and how people can be manipulated through ideas.
Actually, there's so much I could write about these books and how they related to the societies we see around us, but first, has anyone else read them too?
wa salam.

Animal farm is like one of those American classics that most English classes make required reading.
My question to you is how do you find the time to read these books and take care of the family?
What is the secret?
was-salaam

Yes, I know. I'm not sure why I never got round to reading it before. I read somewhere that George Orwell was not against the Soviet Union, but wrote these books (Animal Farm and 1984) against Stalin's version of communism and his style of rule, however, the US and others used his books to make their point against the ideology of communism - not as they were originally intended.
And as to your question, there's no secret I guess, I just love reading, so always manage to find a few minutes here and there in the day.

Masha Allah!
I was always told that reading was a good qualify to have.
I do try to read here and there but find that there is simply too much to enjoy.
