Do not follow in the footsteps of Satan. He is an outright enemy to you.( Surat al-Baqara 2)
Ø Build up a strong relationship with Allah:
The primary thing that someone who has faith in Allah, should do is to know Allah and His Messengers with true knowledge and then to know his responsibilities to Him, his sole Creator. The source which provides this knowledge to man is the Quran. In the Quran, Allah gives His commands and the limits He proclaims for man. Man can attain eternal salvation only when he worships Allah alone without any partner and does his best to meticulously observe these commands and limits. Prayer(salath) is foremost thing in the relationship with Allah when a person in a prayer experiencing fear accompanied by deep respect and having one’s heart filled with awe. Such a prayer increases one's faith and closeness to Allah. It keeps man standing firm.
“Recite the what is sent of the Book by inspiration to you, and establish regular prayer: for prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest (thing in life) without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that you do.” (Surat al-Ankaboot, 29:45)
Ø Asking for forgiveness to Allah:
In Arabic, the word for "asking for forgiveness' is "istigfar" which is "asking for God's attribute of Gafur .we must do as much istigfar daily as much we can.
"Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, remove from us our iniquities, and take to Yourself our souls in the company of the righteous." (Al-Imran, 193).
Praying for forgiveness of Allah may be both for sins, committed intentionally or unintentionally, as well as for the sins of other believers , the aim of satan(Iblease) is to make us do sins so that ultimately we will be send to hell, but when we do istigfar ,Allah forgive us and we are free of sins and satan did not achieve his aim
Allah says in quran:
I am with you: if you (but) say your prayers regularly, practice regular charity, believe in my messengers, honor and assist them, and loan to God a beautiful loan, indeed I will rid you of your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, denies Me, he will truly have wandered from the path of rectitude. (Al-Maeda, 12)
