81 years since the destruction of the Khilafah – Our voices must be louder for its re-establishment
On 3rd March 1924 (corresponding to 28th Rajab 1342), the Islamic Khilafah in Istanbul was abolished, the Khaleefah was banished into exile, and so the ended the physical authority of Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’aala) on the earth, which began when our Beloved Messenger (salAllahu alaihi wasallam) established the Islamic state in Medinah.
The great Egyptian Poet, Shawki, wrote regarding this;
You were escorted to your burial in horror, with the tears of a laughing (person),
Minarets and minbars shouted for you,
Kingdoms and provinces cried on you,
India is bewildered and Egypt is sad,
And she cries on you with flowing tears.
Ash-Sham, Iraq and Persia ask,
Is there anyone who wiped the Khilafah from our lands?
All the great and the good attended your funeral,
They sat there in the seats of mourning,
O men! Watch a murdered noble-born (lady),
She was killed without sin or guilt.
Since that day the Islamic lands have been torn into pieces and steeped in humiliation & disgrace. Our lands have been invaded, exploited and pillaged. Our people have suffered greatly. Palestine, Cyprus, Kashmir, Chechnya, Afghanistan, Iraq, South Sudan and other regions have been occupied. Our honour was been violated, sanctities profaned, treasures plundered and sacred, pure Muslim blood was shed day and night in several Muslim lands. As for the rulers in the Muslim lands, they merely counted the martyrs and wounded, as if they were watching events in a far-off land, detached from it all and regardless of its magnitude.
All of these calamities, and others besides, afflicted the Muslim lands after the abolition of the Khilafah and clearly demonstrate the grave disaster of the Muslims losing the Khilafah.
The Khilafah is the source of our glory and the way to our strength and unity. It is our vital issue, through which all in the heavens and the earth will envy us and without which you will be as if you are alive, but in reality you will be like the dead. Not only is it a great Fard (obligation), it is the crowning obligation because the Islamic rulings are implemented through it and Muslims and Islam are glorified by it. This is what the Sahabah (radiAllaho an hum) knew from RasulAllah (sallAllaho alayhi wa sallam) and acted accordingly. And this is what you also must know and act according to.
The Muslim community in the west must
Raise our voice for the return of the Khilafah, within the Islamic lands. It is something which is precious we have got, and we need to explain to all whom we know. To our children, to our friends, to our families, to our Muslim work colleagues. To all, explaining its obligation, and the glories which were attached to it.
Duaa with all our hearts for the return of the Khilafah, this is something which we all can do, and sincerely ask Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’aala) for its return.
Account the Muslim rulers when they come to UK
Learn, help and work with Muslims who are working to re-establish the Khilafah state.
