I think the question is too general bro..u need to make it more specific....but this is a huge topic in itself.
why are u asking this?...what is the goal behind it?
Are u trying to understand U.S. policy? Are you looking to objectives?
The general understanding is that U.S. wanted to place its military in both regions to control the resources and prevent any threats from islaam or EU...
Now of course there was a difference in response from the people...then again of course there is a different history between the people of Iraq and afghanistan.

Some paki journalist was asking me to give my analysis on this matter.
Due to time contraints(dawah commitments) I am not in a position to investigate and provide profound analysis on this particular subject.
